Due to FDA Requirements: 

The prescribing veterinarian must have an established relationship with the client and must visit the farm where the livestock are located. A farm call must be made at least every 6 months and each VFD prescription will only be valid for a period extending no greater than 6 months. Once the prescription has expired, a new farm visit must be made in order to receive a new prescription.
